How to Repair Wood Flooring Damages?

Step 1. Preparation

The area to be repaired must be clean, dry and free of grease. Remove any loose or sticking out parts prior to the repair. If the damage is less than 2 mm, we recommend drilling the hole deeper. By having more surface area you'll provide the wax the area it needs to adhere to the tile.

Step 2. Choosing Colours

Choose matching colours to the timber surface you are repairing on. Make sure to use always three to four shades from light to dark.

Step 3. Melting and Mixing

Activate the melter for 30 seconds and touch the melter tile into the hard-wax filler stick matching your colours in the wood. Melt off small portions of filler and mix together. Best tip: use two 3 colours for the base colour and add small dot on top in blending.

Step 4. Filling

Apply this molten filler mixture over and onto the damage area using the tip as a shovel, not a scrapper. Over fill the area slightly. The wax is completely dry within seconds and warm to touch. After 1 minute it is completely hardened.

Step 5. Leveling

Remove the excess filler and use the serrated teeth on the Applicator. You can also use the front flat edge of the applicator in a fast motion to take wax away.

Step 6. Precise Adjustment

For precise adjustment, imitate the grain pattern with a darker hue of filler using the serrated of the planner.

Step 7. Degreasing

Use the grey sanding pad to degrease the area while at the same time reducing the sheen of the repaired area.

Step 8. Repair Sealing

-Shake Pen

To protect the repaired area from dust and dirt, seal with the Aqua Clear Lacquer Brush Pen. Before using the pen for the first tie, rinse out the brush tip under running water and dry it with the cotton cloth. Shake pen for about 30 seconds. A rattle of the mixing balls must be clearly heard.

-De-Aerate Pen

Take off the cap. Before each use, hold the pen with the tip pointing upwards in a cloth and squeeze the area marked P/ PRESS. The penis then de-aerated.

-Activate Pen

Hold the pen with the tip pointing downwards over the Cotton Cloth and again squeeze P/ PRESS into the cloth. Lacquer flows into the brush tip dab slightly to avoid the to much sealer over the repair.

-Sealing

Apply the sealer evenly in one direction following the grains of the wood. Adjust the sheen accordingly whether you have more gloss or more matt finish.
