Hey guys back at it again with a fabulous tip for all homes and rental apartment properties around Australia and New Zealand. One of the most common problems when moving home or selling happens to be damages left from the fridge, chest of draws, table and office cabinets. By keeping you house in the best condition, you will be able to sell your house and leave your old home without issues from your realtor. One of the major issue is when people dent and or scratch the flooring surfaces in your home.
YES, DENTED!
This is a problem for the owners around Australia because they do not want to sand all their flooring or replace the flooring if there were to many damage, as it is very, very expensive and waste of time.
So what is the solution?
Well the solution in fact is very simple and it is not using a Walnut to rub the dent out!! We have tested many products to provide the highest quality solution and only one has really moved its way to the top. This is a clear wax. A clear wax allows for dents up to 3 mm in depth, to be filled in and replicate the wood grains underneath. Surprisingly the finished repair is around 99 - 100% complete.
Its the cheapest way to find a high quality finish equal to and even better than your professional tradesman. We hope that you can get some good insight bring some value towards your house or apartment and hopefully save you a lot of time and money!
Some quick steps to follow are:
Step 1. Surface Cleaning
Clean the damage free from dirt, dust and grease.
Step 2. Surface Preparation
Smooth out the dent to take out as much depth from the dent as possible. Using a smooth edged object such as the Red end of the Special Filler Applicator, you should press on the edges of the dent to make the dent wider and less deep.
Step 3. Melting and Mixing
Activate the melter for 30 seconds and touch the melter tile into the Clear-wax filler stick and or matching colours needed in the wood. Melt off small portions of filler. Best tip: use two 3 colours for the base colour and add small dot on top in blending.
Step 4. Filling
Apply this molten filler mixture over and onto the damage area using the tip as a shovel, not a scrapper. Over fill the area slightly. The wax is completely dry within seconds and warm to touch. After 1 minute it is completely hardened.
Step 5. Leveling
Remove the excess filler and use the serrated teeth on the Applicator. You can also use the front flat edge of the applicator in a fast motion to take wax away.
Step 6. Degreasing
Use the grey sanding pad to degrease the area while at the same time reducing the sheen of the repaired area.
Step 7. Repair Sealing
-Shake Pen
To protect the repaired area from dust and dirt, seal with the Aqua Clear Lacquer Brush Pen. Before using the pen for the first tie, rinse out the brush tip under running water and dry it with the cotton cloth. Shake pen for about 30 seconds. A rattle of the mixing balls must be clearly heard.
-De-Aerate Pen
Take off the cap. Before each use, hold the pen with the tip pointing upwards in a cloth and squeeze the area marked P/ PRESS. The penis then de-aerated.
-Activate Pen
Hold the pen with the tip pointing downwards over the Cotton Cloth and again squeeze P/ PRESS into the cloth. Lacquer flows into the brush tip dab slightly to avoid the to much sealer over the repair.
-Sealing
Apply the sealer evenly in one direction following the grains of the wood. Adjust the sheen accordingly whether you have more gloss or more matt finish.
